Greetings D4 Seniors & Parents!
The time has come to be thinking about filling out the scholarship application for D4. You can download and print the Guidelines and the Application right away but meanwhile there are some things you can do to get the process started.
- You will be needing 2 letters of recommendation, 1 from a HS rodeo officer or state rep and 1 from someone not involved in rodeo (ie: minister, teacher, employer)
- (Ask for the letter right away in order to give people time to write it!) Keep in mind that you can also use these letters for State scholarships.
- Request an official transcript from school. This means 9th-1st semester of 12th, STAMPED by registrar and SEALED!
Following the instructions is critical for this and all scholarships, so be sure to print and READ CAREFULLY the District 4 Scholarship Guidelines as it has detailed instruction on the process.
SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MARCH 6, 2021. I will have a sign up sheet so you can notify your employers if you have a job or you can text me for either morning or afternoon slot. More to come regarding sign ups later on.
**Please Note: You must be a member in good standing to be able to be considered for a scholarship. Please make sure that each of you have satisfied your ATV tickets fundraiser as well as "be a member in good standing". Please note the DUE DATE in the instructions.
Susie Willingham, A JH rodeo parent, has been shadowing me and will help conduct the interviews with a panel of judges. She will fill the positon of Scholarship Coordinator for D4.
Please text your senior's phone # to: (831) 512-8787 as we use a group text to communicate important information directly to each Senior!
